Permit Waiver Class - 30 hours
Classes will be taught during Summer school sessions - Five week course meeting once a week for a total of 30 hrs curriculum
Class Objective
The purpose of Driver’s Education is to help beginning drivers safely operate a vehicle and learn to avoid conditions that make driving unsafe. This class will follow the AZ Standards for Driver’s Education Certification.

This course fulfills the AZ State requirement for Driver’s Education, similar to High School programs, which must be 30 hours minimum of course content following the standards set by the AZ Department of Transportation. After this course is completed and the student passes a final exam, the student’s passing scores will be entered in authorized portal to MVD; this allows Permit test Waiver at MVD to order permit. A Letter of Completion for insurance purposes is provided for possible insurance new drivers discount. Part of the class involves preparing to pass the Permit Test. The student must be 15 years and 6 months of age to use this permit waiver on the last day of class or wait to use the waiver at the appropriate age.
